Hoka Arahi 6
The Hoka Arahi is a lightweight stability shoe that has been going head to head with the best of the bunch in the stability category over the last few years. Hoka continues the successful J-Frame posting in the shoe, to prevent any overpronation as you go heel to toe guided by the improved and effective meta-rocker that Hoka fans know and love. The main difference between this and the last model is a lighter upper with recycled materials shaves some weight off the shoe, and a plusher tongue adds more comfortability.
SUPPORT: Neutral
HEEL TO TOE OFFSET: 10 mm
WEIGHT: 9.0oz women’s / 10.2oz men’s

Preview by Scoob: The Hoka Arahi has continuously improved to match the popularity of the brand as a whole. A few years ago, I had people mispronouncing the brand and saying, “Never heard of that one”. Now it is hard to find a person who hasn’t been recommended to try it from their friend family or doctor. The high cushioned, lightweight brand can be seen everywhere. Healthcare workers on their feet all day, early morning risers training for their next road race, even teens and young adults carrying on the chunky midsole fashion trend. This model has been a staple, providing great stability with Hoka’s reliable J-Frame midsole, and a staple it will continue to be, with minor upgrades to the shoe improving on what was already a top seller.
If the Shoe Fits: Stable is the name of the game when standing in the Arahi. You notice the support provided by the J-Frame foam, on the inside of your foot/arch. I wear this model all day for work, walking standing, sitting, driving, and it is comfortable breathable and lightweight. That support feels good even though my natural gait does not need stability when running, it doesn’t feel awkward or hurt at all. I also have a wide foot and have been able to feel comfortable in a D width, going up a half size, but they do have wide widths in this model and it feels better with that. I really like the improvements to the upper, it feels light and more flexible and breathable. Hoka still runs a half size-ish long to me. But, right now it seems like every brand and model is running different than previous years. THIS IS WHY IT”S IMPORTANT TO GET FITTED AT YOUR LOCAL RUN SPECIALTY STORE

Conclusion:
I enjoy this model of the Arahi. I think it is a great option for so many people; work shoe, walking shoe, running shoe. While the support and posting isn’t something I need in my shoe 24/7 I think it feels great and will do the job for anyone who finds themselves needing some extra stability in their day/activity. They also finally came out with some better colors and are getting back to somewhat normal inventory!
